Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

VoiceType collects the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

• Email address — to manage your account, trial and licence
• Device ID — an anonymous identifier generated locally, used to link your account to a licence
• Dictation minutes count — trial version only, to track the daily limit
• Extension settings — language, custom names, voice commands — stored locally in the browser via chrome.storage

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely for:

• Managing your licence and trial period
• Verifying subscription validity
• Tracking daily dictation limits (trial only)
• Sending subscription expiry notifications (if opted in)

We never sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Voice Data & Dictation

Speech recognition is performed exclusively via the Web Speech API built into Chrome. Audio is processed directly by Google (as part of Chrome) under their own privacy policy. VoiceType has no access to audio recordings or recognised text — it only receives the recognition result which is inserted directly into the text field on your page.

Your dictated text never leaves your browser — it is not sent to our servers.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), who acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles your payment details (card number, billing address) under their own privacy policy. VoiceType does not have access to your payment information.

After a successful payment we receive only: your email address, the licence type purchased and a licence key.

5. Data Sharing

We share your personal data only in these cases:

• Lemon Squeezy — for payment processing and subscription management
• Legal obligations — when required by applicable law or court order

No other sharing takes place.

6. Data Storage

Your email address and licence information are stored on a secure server in the EU (Czech Republic, Endora hosting). Data is protected by encrypted transmission (HTTPS).

Extension settings (language, custom names, commands) are stored locally only in your browser using the Chrome Storage API and never leave your device.

We retain your data for the duration of your account. Upon account deletion, data is removed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a data subject you have the following rights:

• Right of access — you may request a copy of your personal data
• Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your account and all data
• Right to data portability — you may request an export of your data
• Right to object — to the processing of your personal data

8. Cookies

The application website (aplikace.tomlive.eu) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics tools. We use only a session cookie for admin login, which is deleted when you close your browser.

9. Children

VoiceType is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this document.
