VoiceType is a Google Chrome extension that enables voice dictation into text fields on web pages using the Web Speech API built into Chrome.
The service is operated by Tomáš Morawiec, an individual based in the Czech Republic. By using the extension you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the extension.
Using VoiceType requires a valid email address used to manage your trial and licence, deliver your licence key and communicate about your account. You are responsible for keeping your licence key confidential – do not share it with third parties.
VoiceType offers a free trial for 7 days from first email registration. The trial is limited to:
After 7 days the extension stops working. A licence purchase is required to restore functionality. Your saved settings (names, commands) will be restored after purchase.
The trial is provided once per email address. Creating multiple accounts to repeatedly use the trial is prohibited.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com) as Merchant of Record. We offer:
Cancellation: Monthly and yearly plans can be cancelled anytime via the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
Refunds: You have the right to a full refund within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason (EU statutory right). After 14 days we assess cases individually. Contact us at tom@morawiec.cz.
Price changes: We will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. Existing subscriptions remain at the original price until the end of the current billing period.
By purchasing you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal or business use. The licence does not include the right to copy, modify or distribute the extension, reverse engineer its code, or sell or sublicence it to third parties.
You must not use the extension to violate laws, perform automated spamming, circumvent the licensing system or share your licence key with multiple users. Violations may result in immediate licence termination without refund.
We aim to ensure continuous availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The dictation function depends on Chrome's Web Speech API and an internet connection – we have no control over these components.
We reserve the right to discontinue the service with 90 days' notice. Users with active subscriptions will receive pro-rated refunds for the unused period.
VoiceType is provided "as is" without warranty. The operator is not liable for speech recognition inaccuracies (dependent on Google's Web Speech API), data loss from outages or indirect damages. Total liability shall not exceed amounts paid for VoiceType in the preceding 12 months.
We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the extension after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes shall be resolved by Czech courts. As an EU consumer you may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
