Frequently asked questions
Does VoiceType work offline?
No, speech recognition requires an internet connection because it uses Google's Web Speech API.
Where is my audio processed?
Audio is processed directly in your browser via the Web Speech API. We only send your email and licence status to our servers – no voice recordings.
What happens when my trial ends?
After 7 days the extension stops working and prompts you to purchase a licence. Your settings (custom names, commands) are saved and will be restored after purchase.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. The trial is completely free with no payment details required.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Monthly and yearly plans can be cancelled at any time via the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. You keep access until the end of your paid period.
How do I activate my licence key?
After purchase you will receive an email with your licence key. Enter it in the extension settings or on the upgrade page.
